Yes you can machine laminated shim sheets with standard equipment. The machined surfaces, however, will not be laminated after machining so if that is a requirement that is something you would need to consider. Apart from that go for it.

It depends. Was there anything in it? Do you want to cut it? Can it get wet?
If there was something in it, you can cut close to it and then they edges will come apart. Soak it in water and then they will come off.
In scrapbooking we use this as a technique to make it appear like stained glass.

Use monofiliment (fishing line)…just get a thin one…and yes you can sew with it! I’ve made several projects with it before! It even comes in various different colors!

use Blue Tack?
u SHOULD NOT use magnets as the machines generally have iron parts and comp. and other elec. stuff r magnetic based themselves… for their “memory” and the like… so the memory might be afftected … for ver strong magnets, it might even get erased… thts y u shld never use a magnet near CDs, DVDs etc. they get erased!
