Don’t buy a laminating kit. Go to a store and have it laminated. That’ll be really cheap or you can use contact paper on both sides.

Answer by Diet_smartie
He makes a profit of 3.50 every time he sells an item.
So you divide 1000 by 3.5 to find the number of items he needs to sell to break even. I think the answer is 286.

Best answer:

Answer by Blaze
4.00 – .50 = 3.50 (the amount of profit he makes each time)

So

1000/3.50 = 285.71

So about 286 cards

Need help stripping laminate flooring?

Question by srikseenappa: Need help stripping laminate flooring?
Pls answer my question ASAP.
My house is in a mess and I need to get it fixed ASAP.
I have hard wood laminate glued down in my foyer and kitchen.Area is a total of 450 sf.
I’m looking to replaace it with porcelain tiles as I have some water damage.
I have hired a contractor and he has no clue how to pull out the hard wood floor.
He tried chipping away the strips one by one. But it is an old hard wood floor and has been glued down real strong. Also the bottom portion of the wood strip breaks into individual square shaped ridges. So he tears of the top laminate first and then each 1″*1″ square piece has to be manually chipped. This is time consuming.
We rented a tile stripper machine from Lowes and that did not help either.
The contractor tells me that there is some machine that helps to do this pretty fast.
Do you know of any machine?
Do you suggest any different approach for stripping all the wood?
The contractor is from El Salvador and communication is a big hinderance.

Your best bet is to install a hardi backer board over the flooring which is a cement board product and then install your ceramic tile over that..It would take days and alot of elbow grease to remove 450sf of hardwood flooring that is glued down. The hardi backer board or sometimes called durok can be purchased anywhere they sell ceramic tile. It comes in 1/4″ thick or 1/2.. Hope this helps…
