Question by yegum: how do you remove wrinkles from thin sheet of metal?
i have a very thin sheet of aluminium with lots of wrinkles i was wondering how you would get rid of wrinkles, i have tried putting the sheet through a laminating machine to see whether it would get rid of the wrinkles however this failed
i have got some machinery but not a lot but any suggestions are welcome
the sheet of metal is not very expensive and is very thin probably less 0.1mm, its lying around so i want to put it too good use
Any help would be appreciated thanks

Unless you have a metal rolling machine, which is not likely unless you have a sheet metal shop, then you are not going to remove the wrinkles. Try to find a use for wrinkley aluminum

Question by MJ: Have you seen a decorative use for the wooden box cover of an old treadle sewing machine?
The box is an interesting shape, but it’s in poor condition. It has an opening on the bottom, so I just can’t imagine how to use it. I only want to put effort into it for a good reason. The laminate is peeling in one corner, all the corners need to be glued and it’s very dirty having been in a shed. Any suggestions?

From the sounds of things, the repair needed to bring it back to life are fairly minimal. Do you have the rest of the machine? If not, you might consider offering the top as-is for someone who is rebuilding an old machine. Parts aren’t always easy to come by!

Question by rekedmustang: How much is an old Singer Sewing Machine worth?
It’s a Singer 41:13 in used condition, but was constantly and professionally maintained over the 20+ years we have had it at the upholstery shop. Has the original cabinet (laminated wood workspace with metal legs) The owner, my father, passed away and was probably the only one who knew what they are worth. I tried e-bay but no luck. Thanks.
