Question by Konjo Nashi Pirateā¢: Thermal hair product, which works best?
What is a really good thermal spray to use before you flat iron your hair? I bought matrix .sleek look from the salon at work, and I think it does what it says. “locks out outside moisture preventing frizz, and protects against damaging due to heat styling”. The only think I don’t like too much about it is after I do my hair with it, if I try to run my fingers through my hair it kind of gets caught and I have to tug it loose. It’s not tangled, it just get’s a little caught. And comes out with conditioner, which is good because I dye my hair, so I only shampoo it 2 times a week not to try it out.
Another one I used was a cheap one by citri shine, anti frizz and spray laminator. The only thing I don’t like about that is, it’s like a fruit oil, after my hair is done it is easy to run my fingers through, is shiny, and smooth. But the next day my hair will look oily even if I washed it before styling.
Is sleek look worth it? What is a god one, professional or not?

I really like Redken “Heat Glide”…its a serum you use on dry hair before ironing..it makes my hair soft sleek and shiny.

It really depends on how thick the laminate sheet it. Usually, for the standard sheets, you’re looking at about 275 degrees. However, they can get much, much hotter.

Question by hunny_kisses: how can i get my hair back to its old, natural way?
about 3 weeks ago i was hanging out at my friend’s place and i used her straightening iron to straighten my hair. my hair is naturally wavy (not curly), wavy-like angel waves, jet black and really really long! after i ironed it it looked gorgeous and silky. when i leave my hair natural its long, silky, shiny and it has nice waves- but obviously more difficult to maintain than straight hair. i fell in love with my “new” straight and easy to maintain hair that i went and bought a straightening iron and kept straightening my hair for the last 3 weeks. i was smart enough to condition my hair a bit extra (to reduce heat damage) and i used the citre shine hair laminator spray which reduces heat damage. now i’ve gotten sick of my straight hair becuz i miss my natural hair- i feel “fake” with my straight hair. so today i tried to style it back to my usual way and it came out all frizzy
very very upset now
any suggestions to get my old hair back? help
