If none of the above is happening, see if you can exchange it. (10 minutes in the laminator sounds like a fire hazard as well) turn off and unplug the machine and see if you can take it out. If you can't easily and safely remove your object then you may need to contact either the store you bought from or the manufacturer for help. mine works in a few seconds to just over a minute depending on the size of the piece.
