I want to buy a sticker maker that includes templates?
Question by alicat: I want to buy a sticker maker that includes templates?
I’m starting to get into scrapping for my daughter. The stores all seem to have the same old stickers and such and I’m more interested in designing my own. Like with my own wording and having the option of printing things like bubbles and splash water drops and thing like that to customize the pages. When I’ve searched all I’ve found are laminating machines that are called sticker makers but that’s not quite what I’m looking for. Any advice or ideas?
I’m looking more for a brand or name of such a product to begin my search more than an idea of where I could find something like it. I can’t know what to look for if I don’t know what to ask for.

Depends on what you really want to do and how much you want to spend. Each of these have their strong points and weaknesses, but check them out and you be the judge.
1. Cut out your own stickers by hand and then have a uniform glue-backing applied:
Try one of the the Xyron machines. See their website at
http://www.xyron.com/enUS/Home/default.html – available at Michael’s
2. Cut out different shapes (plain, card stock or adhesive backed sheets) based on template designs furnished by the manufacture – Try a Cricut Machines here’s their site: http://www.pronto.com/shop/cricut-expression-machines
3. Cut out different CUSTOM designed shapes (plain, card stock or adhesive backed sheets) as well as designs based on templates from the manufacture. Try a Silhouette Machine, here’s their site: http://www.silhouettemachine.com/silhouette.aspx
